Clint Smith

Estate Planning Attorney

  • Licensed Arizona attorney since 1985
  • Author of Estate Planning: A Plain English Guide to Wills and Trusts
  • ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law

“I've been offering peace of mind to Arizona families since 1985. I graduated from ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor law school in Tempe, Arizona in 1985 and have practiced in the East Valley, including Mesa, Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Gilbert and now Scottsdale, ever since.

I spent decades in courtrooms, helping people with financial difficulties, and in 2010 began my transition into estate planning. Now, I help my clients stay out of legal trouble and give their loved ones a precious gift: an estate plan that will keep their affairs out of court.”

From Workshop to Finished Plan

Here is what the process looks like from start to finish. Most clients have their completed estate plan in hand within about five weeks.

01

Attend a Free Workshop

Everything starts with one of our complimentary estate planning workshops. You will get the same education and insight that clients receive during a private consultation, just in a convenient local setting with no appointment needed. Walk in, learn how wills, trusts, and probate actually work in Arizona, and leave with a clear picture of where you stand.

02

Schedule Your Planning Appointment

If you decide you would like to move forward, our team can help you schedule a one-on-one appointment before you leave. Workshop attendees receive a discounted rate as a thank-you for taking that first step.

03

Design Your Plan

You will meet with Clint Smith, one of the most experienced estate planning attorneys in Arizona, either in person at our Scottsdale or Tucson office, or virtually. Together, you will walk through your family's situation, your goals, and the specific protections your plan needs to include.

04

Signing and Delivery

The RJP team drafts your complete estate plan and prepares everything for a final signing appointment. You will review each document in detail, sign with a notary present, and walk out with your finished plan in hand.
